Inside Gaming @ PAX EAST 2011

Wait a second. Didn’t we just get back from GDC? And now we’re going to PAX East? Holy crap. Shouldn’t we make some plans? Oh, we already have some? Well in that case, without further adieu, here’s how our excursion to Boston is shaping up…
Things will kick off as our irreverent buddies from Destructoid join us for a Pre-PAX gathering on Thursday night. The spot is an Irish pub right across from the convention center called MJ O’Connors. Mr. Sark, Kovic, and a whole motley crue of Machinima folks will be on hand to meet, greet, and chat with any and all who’d like to stop by. What are the details of this incredible event you ask? Look no further than this trusty flyer below.

Then on Friday morning, PAX will open and the Inside Gaming panel should be your first stop. It’s at 11am in the Merman Theatre. Line up early enough and we may have some goodies to hand out. But what are we going to talk about you ask? No friggen idea! Maybe you’ll hear something about the origins of Inside Gaming and the people that make it. Maybe you’ll hear some insults directed at your mother. We’re not sure but we promise it will be entertaining.

After that it’s all hands on deck as we hit the show floor to check out games. Lots and lots of games. I’ll finally be getting my first hands on time with Duke Nukem: Forever if all goes according to plan. We’ll also be playing Bethesda’s upcoming FPS, Brink. It’s a game I feel like I’ve been hearing about for almost too long at this point. The upcoming indie title from Supergiant Games called Bastion will be on display. With such a lovely looking art style, it’s a game I can’t wait to get my hands on. We’ll also be seeing LA Noire for the first time. You can’t go wrong with Rockstar, right? There’s plenty of other stuff we’ll be seeing so be on the look out for new episodes of Inside Gaming every day from PAX.
Okay. I’ve got a flight to catch in a few hours so it’s time to pack and get some sleep. See you in Boston.
