Steve Nix Leaves id Software for Gamestop

One name that peppered the PC Gaming scene for the past ten years has moved to the ol’ red and white. Steve Nix, formerly the Digital Platform Director for id Software, is now the Divisional Vice President and General Manager of Digital Distribution for Gamestop, presumably hinting at a digital push for the retailer.

While it’s sad to see one of the old vanguard leaving development, maybe Gamestop will have some awesome digital offerings soon. It could happen, stop laughing.
