Doom on Your TI Calculator Makes Study Time Fun Time

It’s a genre of nerd-dom that I don’t understand, but I can certainly appreciate from afar: TI calculator hacking. The black and white calculators, ubiquitous from high school calculus classes to industrial sciences, have a group of fans who bring homebrew software and ports to the devices. Everyone in their trig class had that one kid who would sit in the back playing platformers and solitaire on their TI.

Well, you see that above? That’s right, it’s the original Doom running on a TI Nspire. It only runs for a bit, but there you go. It’s not exactly the game I would choose to run, but it is a lot more impressive than the Game Boy ports out there.
