Torchlight II Delayed Into July

By Robert Hathorne | 10 February 2011 | 0 Comments

Thanks to all you folks that just had to have your Torchlight on Xbox 360, the release of Torchlight II has been delayed by a few months. Now Runic Games is looking at a July release. July! We could all be dead by then!

Okay fine, Torchlight is so great, it should be played by anyone and everyone who can get there hands on it (legally, arr ye bastard pirates!) But damn, it doesn’t have co-op or larger environments like Torchlight II. Runic CEO, Max Schaefer said to Digital Spy:

I’d say that the Xbox project, having to do the extra work with the interface, has pushed us back a little bit…It’s going great, however. We’ve actually got some optimizations and technical improvements that went into making the Xbox version that we’ve been able to go back and implement into Torchlight II for PC. We’ve got load times down, we’ve got some animation stuff that’s a little bit better and it’s feeling really good right now.

If that’s the way it’s gonna be, Max, just get Torchlight out on Xbox this March 9th and get crackin’ on Torchlight II. The wife and I have got some dungeons to crawl.
