2K Announces The Darkness II

By Robert Hathorne | 08 February 2011 | 2 Comments

That’s right, coming to a 360, PS3, or PC near you this fall is The Darkness II, which is apparently even darker. Not only is our friend and demon-arm wielder, Jackie Estacado still upset about his girlfriend’s death in the last game, now it’s personaler after an attempt has been made on his own life.

In this iteration, Jackie will have to use all of his simultaneous two gun, two demon-snake arm having might in order to take down the rival mob family that has tried to kill him. The Darkness comic creator Marc Silvestri said “So often [fans are] disappointed when a favorite character gives birth to a lame movie or video game, us fans have come to expect the worst. And sometimes we get it. But not with The Darkness II. Yeah, call me biased, but this second installment of Jackie Estacado’s epic saga is, in my humble opinion, one of the most brutally cool games I’ve ever played. 2K Games hammered this one out of the park.” So, that sounds good. More details on gameplay and a specific date are expected in the coming months.
