Silent Hill: Downpour Screenshots, Story Details

Konami released the first official media and story details for Silent Hill: Downpour lately. The screenshots appear to sustain my grand theory about Silent Hill – that they alternate between lots of rusted metal and more cerebral themes and settings. Following the awesomely subtle Shattered Memories, I guess we’re due for another zombie nurse entry in the series.

The press release also confirms the story as told so far: convict Murphy Pendleton wanders into Silent Hill after his prison transport bus crashes near the town. If I don’t miss my guess, the game will probably involve the Silent Hill cult.

Downpour is coming to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this fall from Vatra Games. Hopefully their turn in the Silent Hill seat will be as productive as Climax Studios’. Screens follow, and click for hugening:
