Using Biology to Play Video Games

By Colin Ferris | 17 January 2011 | 0 Comments

At what point does an experiment qualify you to be a mad scientist. I mean, the guy who turns bodies into plastic sounds like an evil villain to me. What about scientist that get biological organisms to play games for them? Wouldn’t Stanford think they were just a bit crazy?

By predicting the movement of some simple organisms, these scientists played a number of games, from soccer to Pong. It’s really hard to explain so I suggest you just watch the video:

In any case, Cal is a better school. (I’m biased, Stanfurd sucks!)
