As we said earlier, the new Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 game is coming out. However, while EA Sports is 100% behind their star golf player, they don’t seem to want him on their box art. Of course, this is simply because they’re so excited about including the Masters in this year’s game.
EA Sport’s Peter Moore was quick to deny anything is amiss:
“If the insinuation is it’s a reflection of EA Sports backing away from its relationship that goes back literally 13 years with Tiger, that’s not the case whatsoever. This is obviously a very important day in our history and an important day in the world of golf videogames, and focusing on the Masters is the right thing to do.”
Of course, removing one of the most recognizable people in the world and not using his image as your main visual has nothing to do with his love of hookers and things hooker-related. This has nothing to do with his subsequent losses on the golf course. Most of all, this has nothing to do with the fact that Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 sold 68% less than the 2010 version. Nothing at all.
If you believe that, I’ve got a bridge I’d like to sell you.
