PS3 Completely Hacked

It took one month to hack the Wii. It took one year to hack the Xbox 360. Finally, after four years, hackers have made the PS3 their bitch. First things first, let’s get Linux running on the PS3 again.
Actually, that’s one of the reasons given for it taking so long to hack the PS3. According to the group that finally did it, they just weren’t that interested in hacking the PS3 when it ran Linux. It was only when that feature was removed that the hackers focused their efforts and came up with the above equations (among others).
Whatever the reason, it means that piracy will soon run rampant on the PS3 like it does on the Wii and 360. I wonder if PSN is going to have to get as ban happy as Xbox Live in order to control the piracy. No doubt a quick update will find some way to temporarily thwart the hackers efforts.
I’m a fan of open systems, but I also want game makers not to get ripped off. Damn moral dilemmas of the digital age.
