An anonymous tweeter claiming close proximity to the Capcom dev team behind Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has been attacking the mystery around the game like it stole his cell phone. First revealing the currently-unannounced characters, the tweeter also revealed several anecdotes and business decisions behind the scenes, even answering questions about who wasn’t included and why.

So yeah, stop reading now if you’re concerned about spoilers, even though the source is shady as hell.

Right. So according to tweeter klennox22, “the remaining Capcom characters are Hsien-Ko, Haggar and Akuma” while “the remaining Marvel characters are Phoenix, Sentinel and Taskmaster.” Those following MvC3 will be confused about the lack of Frank West, as originally teased by a poster. According to the tweeter, a super move from West involving a swarm of zombies broke the game’s netcode, so he was removed from the game.

The tweeter claims that Hsien-Ko and Phoenix will be revealed at Jump Festa this weekend, putting an early test on the legitimacy of his claims. If nothing else, there’s very little glaringly wrong about the information he purports. The stories he relates about who’s included, who’s not, and why all make sense from a business perspective.

Shoryuken archived the mysterious tweets, so check them out with appropriate grains of salt if you want the dish on MvC3.

Hsien-Ko and not B.B. Hood, the fuck is this shit.

I don’t want this guy to be right, I want Frank West.

I would’ve liked B.B. Hood as well, but according to the tweeter she was never even in the running. Sad (if true) :(
