Crytek Announces Warface

Am I the only one pissed that “Cry” isn’t in this title anywhere? It could’ve been called WarCry! Come on guys.

Anyway, Crytek announced Warface today, which is a new online F2P FPS aimed at the Korean and Asian markets. The game will offer “constantly updated extensive PVE universe full of dramatic multiplayer co-op missions” and “a full set of class based PVP.”

The game will also use Crytek’s CryENGINE 3, so it’ll probably look awesome too. Odds are CryTek is launching this game to create a cash cow to fund further development of Crysis, which I am all for. There’s no projected release for Warface, but hopefully it’s coming soon.
