Microsoft Shutting Down Halo Wars Features

Some community features for Halo Wars will get a bullet the head for the Holidays this year. Player forums and stat tracking for the game will eat it on December 15; potentially a cost-cutting measure on what seemed to be a Halo stopgap between larger releases.
Bear in mind that you’ll still be able to play online, you just won’t be able to show off statistics of how awesome you are or tell other people how much they suck on the Internet. Well, I guess you can still do that… you can always do that, just not on official forums anymore.
Of course the community reaction is unfavorable. Here are some gems:
This is obviously just a desperate attempt to kill HW so they can focus on saving Reach, which is dead and fail as well.
They are cheap bastards! I’m buying this domain when they let it go lol
You guys are aware that the decision to end online stat-tracking effectively makes the game a dead game… right?
Why don’t you respond to statements like this instead of ducking under your skirt Cocock [A clever spelling of Cocopjojo, the forum moderator]? Just go break your neck in a car crash or something and forget about this site.
Game is dead. Fuck you.
NO STAT TRACKING?? YOU JUST KILLED THIS GAME!! FUCK YOU!!!
Stay classy, nerds.
