Red Dead Redemption leads with eight nominations, while Halo: Reach and Call of Duty®: Black Ops both have six nods each. The full list of nominees can be found at http://www.insidegamingdaily.com.

Minecraft woho!
Why is Fallout: New Vegas not on here???
I have a feeling that RDR will be taking home a fair share of awards.
Personally, once I get bored with Black Ops, I’m going right back to RDR.
No Fallout: New Vegas? By far, the best game i’ve played all year
You know what will win……
*SPOILER*
……………………………………………………………………………………………………
Call of Duty Black Ops – even if it doesn’t deserve it.
if minecraft doesn’t win atleast one thing, then i’m afraid i have lost all faith in this world…
also, how can Minecraft not be a nominee for “Best Downloadable Game” ???
FO doesnt deserve it, IMO, nothing exciting.
But I agree with a lot of things here. Nicely done.
No Bad Company 2 on best sound design. Way to go, guys. Cod it up as always.
i don’t understand limbo getting a sound design nod. i guess the omission of sound is nod-worthy? oh well, MoH or Red Dead should take that category anyway.
@Vic
“No Bad Company 2 on best sound design. Way to go, guys. Cod it up as always.”
CoD wasn’t even nominated for best sound design, maybe you read Medal of Honor wrong or something.

I really like bad company and bops :)
I’m with Vic on the Best Sound Design.
Guess BC2 got forgotten with all games coming this fall….
Game of the year is a though one.
Assassins Creed Brotherhood – SC2 – Halo:Reach imo would be the top ones.
Sorry CoD fans but the campaign was terrible.
MINECRAFT! NEEDS MOAR NOMINATIONS! But seriously, Minecraft for both of the wins. Let your voice be heard, SeaNanners! I know you will pick correctly!
grand theft auto 4 why didnt they put grand theft auto 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
machinima sucks
It’s to early to nominate Minecraft! I love it, but remember – it’s still in alpha. Nominate it when it’s done!

I think that from the multiplayer perspective, cod has a much wider fan base, and therefore, could win on that front, whereas titles such as Fallout New Vegas and Red Dead Redemption have a much more developed single player game. Halo Reach has a solid game in both areas, being yet another chapter in the Halo universe, along with their iconic multiplayer, Reach covers a lot of ground. Assassin’s Creed also has branched out to the mulitplayer scene, but the fan base for their mulitplayer just doesn’t exist to the extent of cod or Halo. My vote for Game of the Year goes to Red Dead Redemption, although it was a close contender with Mass Effect 2. The ability to have a rich game, with good graphics, an Online Mulitplayer, and a compelling story, along with the fact that you can take those days where you sit down with the game and just kill npcs, this game made my 2010.
