Double Fine Reveals Next Downloadable Game

IGN revealed the second in Double Fine’s set of four downloadable games recently with the expectantly quirky third person adventure game Stacking. The game centers around matryoshkas, those Russian dolls that can pop apart and fit inside each other. In the game, you play the smallest matryoshka, which can pop inside other, larger matryoshkas. Each doll (tired of typing out matryoshka) has a unique skill, but only the outer-most doll’s skill can be used.
This leads to puzzles that require you to next yourself inside dolls in a particular order so you can pop out to use the right skill at the right time. It’s weird, charming, funny, and slightly terrifying – classic Double Fine. Stacking is being published by THQ and will hit the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network in Spring 2011.
