So Homefront isn’t out yet, hell, it’s not even done. That’s not stopping THQ from rolling up on a sequel though, as revealed by THQ Executive Vice President of Core Games Danny Bilson during his keynote speech at IGDA Leadership Forum 2010.

“The sequel has new features and doesn’t even deal with the same characters. It takes place on the other side of the Mississippi; nobody knows what’s going on over there because the North Koreans have irradiated the Mississippi with radioactive iodine and nobody can cross it without a hazmat suit,” Bilson said. “It’s very interesting stuff.”

Bilson also revealed some details regarding the transmedia push at THQ these days. The Homefront setting will also receive a book and potentially a television miniseries. A TV show about a North Korean invasion of America? I’d watch that.
