New Batman Movie Gets Title, But No Game

When The Dark Knight Returns was released to theaters, it was one of the few blockbusters without a video game tie-in. However, we waited a year and instead got to play the glory that is Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Now, with work on The Dark Knight Rises, people have again begun to wonder if there will be a movie game. As a diehard Batman fan, I sure hope not. The game for Dark Knight Returns is rumored to have died because it either sucked or Warner and EA couldn’t get along. In any case, games where you play the movie you’ve already seen are rarely good. Only games like Chronicles of Riddick and Wanted: Weapons of Fate were any good because they went beyond the movies they were based on.

Please Warner Brothers, I beg you to skip the Batman movie tie-in and just concentrate on Arkham City. We’ll all be happier.

    Shut up Colin! The Arkham games have nothing to do with the movies and it’s actually quite pathetic to see the amount of people out there, that kiss RockSteady’s ass just because they’ve made two successful Arkham games.
    This is the final movie in the trilogy and personally I think we need a movie tie-in game to hammer the nail down on the box to finish it, seeing as how we didn’t get a movie for “The Dark Knight” (NOT The Dark Knight Returns) like as stated in your post.

    So don’t presume to speak for everyone out there, in your post. When not all everyone shares the same narrow-minded, biased vision/ view as you do.
