Is this the Playstation Phone?

Rumored for awhile, the Interwebs are abuzz today about pictures of the newest prototype of the Playstation phone. With Nintendo openly admitting that Apple and its iPhone are main competitors in the handheld market, it makes sense that Sony would move this direction.

This being a prototype, a lot can change between now and the release of this device. While it currently lacks an analog stick, that long gray area is apparently a multi-touch touchpad to use for game input. It also looks like Sony is possibly giving up on the Memory Stick as this device uses MicroSD cards.

I’m sure Sony will soon issue their prerequisite denials and very little is known about the final device. In any case, it’s sure to be better than the N-Gage.
