New Mortal Kombat Scorpion Reveal

Midway may be dead, but Mortal Kombat will live again! Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment bought out the franchise and has decided to do a reboot. Similar to the reboot of Star Trek or Nightmare on Elm Street, the simply titled Mortal Kombat is taking the game back to its roots. I guess there will be no more babalities.

This trailer reintroduces us to the yellow color swapped ninja, Scorpion. Long story short, he hates Sub-Zero a lot and wants him dead. There’s more about him being a lost soul who was resurrected, but that story has always bugged me. What the hell is an undead creature doing in a game called Mortal Kombat. He doesn’t even meet the base qualification of being mortal.

I guess a cohesive story has never been one of the game’s strong suits. Enjoy!
