It’s not right, but you think it anyway. A baby starts crying on the bus and you think “Man, wouldn’t it be awesome if I could clobber that thing with a Plasma Cutter or throw it on the ground and punt it like a football?” Well, it would be awesome, and someone at EA agrees because they’re including a Plasma Cutter replica in the Collector’s Edition for Dead Space 2. Yes, that is exactly why they’re doing it.
That’s not all, though. The Collector’s Edition will also include the Dead Space 2 soundtrack, a lithograph of necromorph concept art, and some DLC – a unitology suit and a force gun. Pretty sweet deal for $80. Dead Space 2 will release on January 25, 2011 on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC (but don’t be surprised if the PC version gets delayed).
