While Western markets have all but written off Sony’s handheld, people in Japan are still gaga over this thing. For some reason they just looooove their Monster Hunter. This, combined with a solid combination of third party titles, has led Enterbrain CEO Hirokazu Hamamura to predict that the PSP will exceed previous performance levels this year.
“This year will be the PSP’s biggest year,” Hamamura said.
A list of games contribute to that: Lord of Arcana, God Eater Burst, Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity, Black Panther Yakuza New Chapter, Tactics Ogre, Paraside Eve: The 3rd Birthday, and of course, Monster Hunter Portable 3rd.
“Selling five million units is not a dream,” Hamamura said, throwing out a roundabout sales prediction for the title. “The PSP will expand its market.”
