Panansonic Announces New Handheld Gaming System

embedded by Embedded Video

Panasonic is no stranger to gaming systems. Back in 1993, they produced the 3DO system. While a great system, its high price point ($700) meant not a lot of people ever played it.

Now, they’re trying again with the Jungle, a handheld online gaming system that’s targeting the MMO crowd. The initial lineup looks to feature Battlestar Galactica as an early title.

Also, to entertain Jungle owners, they’ve teamed up with (yay!) to create an animated series featuring their mascots discussing video games, called Online Underground.

Not much is known publicly about the Jungle yet, but I’m sure we will hear more very soon.
