Treasure Cult Hit Radiant Silvergun Coming to XBLA

Hear that sound? That’s the collective wailing of eBay prospectors. Treasure will be releasing their incredibly rare shoot ‘em up Radiant Silvergun on Xbox Live. The game only released for the Sega Saturn in Japan, so this will mark its first appearance on consoles in North America. The game’s rarity caused it to be one of the more sought titles for game collectors, though easily accessing the game on Xbox Live will probably impact its trading price.

This game is the second Treasure shooter on XBLA, the first being Ikaruga. For a platform so ideally suited to the genre, its shocking that we haven’t seen more releases of this nature. Oh well, no sense in looking a gift shooter in the mouth. There’s no word of a release date yet, but it shouldn’t be too long in coming.
