Warren Spector Wants Epic Mickey Series

Though Warren Spector has been obviously hinting this for a while, he’s finally come out and directly said that he wants Epic Mickey to turn into a series of games.

“Yes, I have no interest on working on one offs,” Spector said, in an interview with IncGamers. “I want to do things that have a life beyond me, beyond the team, beyond a single game.”

Given that Spector’s work on some of the greater gaming series (System Shock, Thief, Ultima), this sentiment makes a lot of sense. Spector’s not only interested in video games to house his creation, however.

“I hope there are wasteland games featuring Mickey Mouse and also the Lucky Rabbit for years to come,” Spector said. “We’re doing comic books and graphic novels, I want Wasteland to live on beyond this game.”

We might all want that too, but we’ll have to wait until the game’s release this Winter to know for sure.
