Man sues Lineage II developers for making a good game

Craig Smallwood is a pathetic man. For 5 years, he played Lineage II all the time. Logging over 20,000 hours on the game, he now claims that he was physically addicted to the game and was “unable to function independently in usual daily activities such as getting up, getting dressed, bathing or communicating with family and friends.”
Sadly, a judge has refused to throw out the suit he has filed against NCsoft, makers of the game.
Bathing? C’mon buddy, you can at least clean yourself… Axe Body Spray doesn’t count.
He now claims that he never would have started playing the game if he knew he would become addicted. He believes that NCsoft intentionally made their game addictive and didn’t adequately warn consumers of its addictive nature.
So, Mr. Smallberries, you argument is that a game that is trying to get you to pay a monthly fee is at fault for giving you a reason to pay the monthly fee?
First off, Lineage II? I wonder why he chose this instead of World of Warcraft, especially since he isn’t Korean.
Second, where’s your own personal responsibility? I get hooked on games all the time. The hours I’ve spent on Fallout, Mass Effect, Heroes of Might & Magic, and Civilization are countless. The upcoming release of Civilization 5 and Heroes 6 has me ready to budget time in order to get other things done.
That’s where he failed, his own ability to manage his time. You can get lost in countless diverting pursuits, but its up to you to learn your own limits. If you lose your wife and family due to Lineage II, blame your own dumbass self.
