Despite Insomniac recently signing a deal with EA to bring their future games to multiple platforms, they still have some PS3 exclusives in the works. Today at the end of Sony’s Gamescom press conference Ted Price of Insomniac took the stage to announce not one, but two new games.

The first game revealed was a new Ratchet & Clank game titled “Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One.” The game will feature  4 player, drop-in, drop-out co-op. Playable characters include Ratchet, Clank, Captain Qwark, and Dr. Nefarious. It should be mentioned that this game is in development at the recently opened Insomniac Studio in North Carolina. It’s set for a Fall 2011 release.

But Insomniac didn’t stop there. They went on to reveal what was one of the the worst kept secrets in the video game industry, Resistance 3. Not too many details except for a live action trailer. It has hobos, trains, and Chimera. Like any good Resistance trailer should.

Can anybody think of a studio that develops two more polar opposite franchises than Insomniac?
