This is a nice thing to wake up to. Steam is hosting a massive sale in honor of id Software and Bethesda’s Dallas-based gaming convention today. Every day of the convention will see a new game from their collected catalog heavily discounted on the digital delivery service. Today’s offer is for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. You can either purchase the Game of the Year edition for $6.79, or the Deluxe edition containing all the game’s DLC for $8.49.

In addition, Steam is offering a Quakecon 2010 pack, containing 27 id Software and Bethesda games for $69.99. Highlights of the pack include Commander Keen, HeXen, Quake III, and all the Dooms. No point in going to a convention when you can spend all day playing Spear of Destiny dirt cheap.
