EA Announces The Sims Medieval

Which, surprisingly enough, isn’t an expansion pack. The Sims Medieval will give players the chance to build their own kingdom and control “characters from all walks of life, from Kings and Queens, to Knights and Wizards, Blacksmiths and Bards.” The game revolves around completing quests with a chosen Hero Sim, and sounds much more directed and traditional than normal Sims games.

Here’s hoping you can play an indentured servant sim and spend your 25 year lifespan toiling daily in the field before you die of the bubonic plague.

The Sims Medieval is tentatively scheduled for Spring 2011 for PC and Mac. (More screenshots follow the jump)
