Rumor: Silver Surfer in Marvel vs. Capcom 3

VGChartz has a surreptitious snap from a magazine depicting the Silver Surfer along with Dr. Doom and Super Skrull in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. The article – an interview with MvC3 director Ryota Niitsuma – states that these three characters represent all you’ll see from The Fantastic Four in the game.

This means that the super powered quartet won’t be playable in the game, though they will play a large part in the game’s story / arcade mode. Additionally, Niitsuma hinted that the game’s final boss will be familiar to FF fans, which would imply the world eater Galacticus.

According to the article, Silver Surfer never stands on the ground, but remains hovering on his board the whole match. He’s very quick and recommended for advanced players. As someone who always found the Fantastic Four rather damn lame, I’m glad they’re drawing the line at Super Skrull.
