Disney Buys Playdom

The next salvo has been fired in the social gaming revolution. Leading social games company Playdom, makers of Mobsters and Social City, has been bought by Disney for half a billion dollars.

Not a surprising move, but one wonders what it heralds as far as social game content. Disney also owns Marvel, so I’m sure Deadpool will be all over Facebook in the near future.
