Capcom somehow condensed Street Fighter into liquid form and is now spraying us down via pressurized hose from the back of a fire truck, laughing maniacally all the while. During a Street Fighter panel at Comic-Con, Street Fighter 4 producer Yoshinori Ono wanted to “let everyone know that Street Fighter III is coming back” in the form of Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition. Zero details were provided beyond that, though the title makes it plain that it will be an online-enabled version of 1999′s 2D fighter.

In fact, Ono provided the opposite of details, saying that Capcom would take their time in bringing this mysterious fighter out. He also issued a call to fans of the series, saying that if anyone has desired features for the game to go tell Seth Killian at Capcom Unity. Smart money is on 3rd Strike Online hitting XBLA and PSN, but this is the new crazy Capcom, so who can even say?
