Gears of War 3 Panel Shows New Footage, Game and Movie Details

Moderated by G4′s Adam Sessler, a panel featuring Epic’s Cliff Bleszinski and Rod Fergusson discuss a lot of interesting points regarding Gears of War 3. During the presentation, the developers provide commentary over the E3 demo (starting around the nine minute mark), giving them a chance to explain a lot of the finer points of the next iteration in the series.
Several of the game’s voice actors show up as well, including Carlos Ferro (Dominic Santiago), Michael Gough (Carmine), and of course, Lester Speight (Cole Train).
Bleszinski also addressed the fate of the Gears of War movie, stating that in its previous form, the budget was too large for a movie that would probably be R-rated and wouldn’t have Will Smith’s son in it (his words). They’re now retooling the movie to be more District 9 than 2012 (also his words).
The developers also discuss the inclusion of females in Gears of War, GoW3′s Beast Mode, and the new voice actors including Ice T and Claudia Black. Of course, it wouldn’t be Comic-Con without a lengthy discussion of collectible figures, so there’s plenty of discussion regarding the Gears of War 3 line of action figures.
The full panel is chock-full of details regarding Gears of War 3, so check it out if you have an hour to kill.
