Aliens vs Predator Console Patches Stabbed With Alien Razor-Tail

Sega canceled ongoing support for the console editions of Aliens vs. Predator, as revealed by Assistant Community Manager Clumsyorchid on the official Sega Forums recently.
“I’ve just received a mail this AM regarding patches for the console versions of AVP and I regret to inform everyone that these have sadly been scrapped,” Clumsyorchid said. This sadly comes after confirmations that support and updates are coming, which puts poor Clumsyorchid in a tight spot.
“I had previously made a claim that these were coming and at the time, this was very much on the table. For the console community, I apologize, as I know there are many features and updates that you’d like to see,” Clumsyorchid said. “I’ll keep fighting internally for this to happen, but until I hear otherwise, there will not be a console patch for either Xbox or PS3.”
The community quickly questioned whether or not the cuts applied to support of the PC version, to which Clumsyorchid replied “I have heard nothing on PC patches and would not assume there will be any changes unless stated otherwise.”
My heart goes out to all you jilted AvP owners. Do… do you want a hug?
