Retro Metroid Ads

Ever since seeing and loving Metroid Other M at E3, I’ve been reminiscing about Samus’ previous adventures. With classic level hunting 2D gameplay, Super Metroid defines the series for me. While staring at a bunch of old images, I ran across some bizarre ads for the game and its strategy guide.

Apparently, its good to compare your players to meat. Um, yeah…

Not weird enough? How about putting a player who plays without a strategy guide in a tutu?

That image will burn in your mind.  Yikes.  This proves that when the game is good, the ads don’t always have to be.
